The 2025 Rhode Island Statewide Building Codes (SBC) are now in effect.

Rhode Island has adopted and amended certain 2021 International Codes.

As of March 1, 2026: All permit applications must comply with the 2021 RI Statewide Codes.

 No new permits will be accepted if designed under previous Codes.

All Codes are read-only, copyright protected publications and cannot be printed or copied but are linked here to help you with your project.
