Log Road Water Main Extension and Culvert Replacement Project
Preliminary work will begin Monday, June 8th with construction beginning the week of June 15 and continuing for an estimated 8 weeks.
During the water main installation, Log Road, from Mann School Road to Old Forge Road, will be closed to traffic between 7AM-4PM and reopened each night.
During the culvert replacement construction, Log Road, at the culvert, will be closed to traffic.
(A traffic plan is in place for emergency vehicles if needed during this time.)
Trash and recycling will be collected prior to construction. *Please ensure bins are out the evening before.

Function
The Department of Public Works (DPW) is charged with the responsibility of maintaining the town’s public rights of way and all infrastructure included within excepting sanitary sewers. Thus, traditional public works maintenance includes but is not limited to the following: road reconstruction, resurfacing, crack filling, potholes; curbs, bridges, culverts, drainage ditches; sedimentation, detention, and retention basins; roadside mowing, brush, vegetative control and forestry operations; street sweeping. Weather related winter operations include snow and ice control and seasonal operation of a sand screening plant. Environmental programs include the operations of an oil igloo, curbside yard waste and Christmas tree pick-up programs.
