The Department of Public Works Parks Division is responsible for maintaining all Town owned properties. Such properties include Deerfield Park, Veterans Memorial, Georgiaville Beach, Whipple Field Complex, Dog Park, Boyle Athletic Complex, School properties, as well as the new pickle ball courts, coming summer 2025, memorials, and some larger cemeteries.  

Activities include grass mowing, tree and hedge trimming, fertilizer programs, mulching of beds and gardens, infield grooming and striping, garbage pickup at parks and fields, playground maintenance, fence repair, sprinkler maintenance, maintenance of walking trails, and field upgrades, as well as snow and ice removal.

Over the past year, the Parks Division upgraded the baseball fields at Whipple 1, Whipple 5, Deerfield, and high school with new infield mix as well as top dressing and seeding of the grass areas. Also added was a new grass area for children to play at Old County Road School. For the 2025 season, upgrade will include Whipple Softball Fields, Willow Field, Mendes Field, and LaPerche Baseball Field.
